AMERICAN SYMBOLS

Aquí teneis algunos de los simbolos que caracterizan a los Estados Unidos de America.
Here you have some of the most important USA symbols.
The statue of liberty: It was a gift to the United States from France to commemorate their alliance during the American Revolution. It is 111 feet, 1 inch tall and made from 225 tons of copper.

The USA flag: The fifty stars represent the fifty states. The thirteen red and white stripes represent the first thirteen colonies.
The bald Eagle: It is the symbol bird of the United States of America.It represents the traits of courage, independence, and strength. It appears on most of its official seals, including the Seal of the President of the United States.
The White House: The White House is the official residence and principal workplace of the president of the United States. Located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C.
Mount Rushmore:This place features 18 m sculptures of the heads of former United States presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.
The Liberty Bell:It is the symbol of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was rung on July 8, 1776 to proclaim the independence of the United States of America from England.
